What is a cadence?

Business cadence is a planned sequence of contact attempts and follow-ups over time. An agency can organize this sequence to approach suitable companies for its service, record responses, and decide when to end the attempt. Planning needs to consider the audience context and each person’s preferences.

Zenit OS is a platform for marketing agencies that brings sales management, WhatsApp prospecting, client operations and financial tools together in one place.

Why plan team contacts?

When there is no defined routine, some contacts may receive many messages and others may receive no response. A cadence explains those responsible, intervals and reasons for contact, helping the team to coordinate the work. The sequence must be adjusted when someone responds, asks for another time or informs that they do not wish to continue.

For a small agency, clarity prevents two people from approaching the same company without knowing each other. In larger teams, a common guideline also helps you compare approaches and identify where handovers are falling short.

How can you measure a prospecting sequence?

A simple measure is the response rate per contact reached in a given period. If 100 companies were approached and 15 responded, the ratio is 15 divided by 100, or 15%. Define whether negative responses are included and count each company once to avoid inflating the result.

The answer is just one step: some responses may be unrelated to sales interest. Separately analyze how many conversations evolve into qualifications and meetings. Consider the size and origin of the list before drawing conclusions about different messages.

What mistakes hinder the cadence?

An excessive sequence or without context can be annoying and harm the relationship with the market. Copying a generic message for different audiences also makes it difficult to understand what actually sparked interest. Review the relevance of the offer and the source of contacts before increasing volume.

Avoid continuing a flow as if nothing had happened after a negative response or request to stop. The team must evaluate the rules applicable to the channel, respect contact preferences and record decisions so that other responsible parties have the same context.

How can Zenit OS support this routine?

ZenitProspect offers conversation management and outbound messaging via WhatsApp for agencies with access to the module. The documentation also describes flow configuration lists and resources; availability depends on plan, role and configuration. It is up to the agency to define the appropriate sequence and monitor responses.

The system does not guarantee interest, meetings or sales, and does not eliminate the need to review the approach. Schedule a demo to show how your team works and check out the prospecting resources available for this process.

Frequently asked questions

Does Cadence need to use multiple channels?

The agency can choose the channels that suit the audience and context; there is no universal number of channels.

Does a negative response factor into the response rate?

You can enter if the definition is a response to any contact. Separate the type of response when analyzing interest.

Should all contacts receive the same number of messages?

The sequence should be interrupted or adjusted according to each person's response and preference.

Do more attempts guarantee meetings?

Quantity does not guarantee results. Relevance, list quality, execution, and context also influence the conversation.
